I can still remember getting my first camera, a Kodak Instamatic…that summer, on a trip to the Blue Ridge Parkway, I insisted on stopping at virtually every overlook to take pictures. Now things have come full circle, and I’m fortunate enough to live within a mile of the Parkway. I’m still taking photographs along “America’s favorite drive” and everywhere else, for that matter. My equipment has definitely improved, and hopefully my technique has as well.
Many thanks and much gratitude to Mr. Rosone, my high school photography teacher, who graciously let me play like a kid in a candy store in the school's dark room, and to all the other photographers out there who have given me tips and inspiration along the way.
For those who are interested, here’s the gear:
Canon 5D Mark II
EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM
EF 100mm f/2.8 macro
EF 135mm f/2 L
EF Canon 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM
430EX II Flash
Most of all, thanks to my wonderful husband, Brett, who patiently waits while I take just one more shot...
